What size function rooms do you have?
We have a range of function rooms available and can accommodate from 20 to 300 guests.
The Coney Suite is our main function room and is ideal for larger weddings. It can host from 180 – 300 guests. It has space for a band or DJ, has a dancefloor, its own bar, and benefits from access to a beautiful, secluded garden.
On the other end of the scale, the Conference Room is an excellent choice for amore intimate ceremony and celebration, acommodating up to around 20 guests.
Please contact us with your requirements and we will be happy to arrange a viewing and help you find the perfect space for one of the biggest day of your life.
How far in advance do we need to book The Warren for our wedding venue?
We recommend booking as early as possible as our calendar fills up quickly, especially during peak wedding season in Kent. We suggest looking to book 12 to 18 months in advance to secure your preferred date. However, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings depending on availability and your requirements, so do check with us to see what options may be available even if the timeframe is shorter.
How long can we provisionally hold a date?
We appreciate that planning a perfect wedding can take time, and we want to make sure that you have the flexibility to make the right decisions for your special day. We are happy to provisionally hold a banquet room for you until we receive another enquiry for the same date. Then we will give you first option to decide if you wish to confirm the booking.
What deposit do we have to pay when we confirm a date?
When you confirm a date for your wedding function at The Warren, we require a non-refundable deposit of £100 to be paid at the time of booking. This will reserve the venue for your special day, then on return of the contract 50% of the hall hire charges must be paid. We are happy to go through the details of the payment schedule in full with you at the time of viewing.
Is there be a dedicated events co-ordinator looking after our wedding and there on the day?
Yes! When you hold your wedding at The Warren we offer additional support with a dedicated Wedding Manager to assist you and ensure your planning is stress free and the day is everything you want it to be.
Is the venue available for exclusive hire?
The Warren’s wedding reception facilities are in high demand as it is a stunning backdrop for festivities and one of the best wedding venues in the area, which means that we do not usually have availability to offer exclusive venue hire for the whole property. Making an early enquiry, well in advance of your desired date, may offer a higher likelihood of securing exclusive hire of the venue. Please contact us for more information on availability and pricing.
Are wedding packages cheaper if we don’t book a Saturday night?
Our wedding package fees vary depending on the specific requirements you choose. Fridays and Saturdays are usually in high demand and therefore more expensive, so making your booking for other days will usually be cheaper.
Is the venue licensed for civil ceremonies?
Yes, The Warren is licensed for civil ceremonies, with seven beautiful rooms to choose from, depending on the number of guests and which room fits your preferences best.
Do we have to book the registrar separately?
We make the initial booking with the registrars for your marriage ceremony. Once your booking is confirmed, the registrars will consult with you directly to ensure that all the legal aspects of your marriage are properly taken care of.
Can we hold our wedding ceremony outside?
The Coney Suite has a private garden adjoining it, where you can hold your wedding ceremony. If on the day the weather is not suitable for an outside ceremony, there is a long isle for a grand entrance inside the function room. When visiting the venue for the tour we would be happy to show you these.
Is there a bridal suite available? If so, what rooms are included?
The Warren does not have a designated bridal suite, however, you can book a room for changing for the bridal party to use on the day. Please request this option as soon as possible to ensure availability and avoid any disappointment.
Is there a cloakroom where guests can leave coats and personal items?
Yes, we have a cloakroom where guests can leave coats and personal items. It is conveniently located and staffed by our team, who will ensure that your guests’ belongings are looked after and returned to them at the end of the evening, allowing them to enjoy the celebrations without wory.
Is there somewhere where we can securely store our wedding gifts?
Yes, we can store your gifts including overnight pending collection. We understand that the gifts are valuable and sentimental, and we want to ensure that they are kept safe and secure until you are ready to collect them. However, we must stress that while every effort is taken to keep your items safe, we are not responsible for any loss or damage during storage.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Although our building is over 150 years old, we have taken great care to ensure that it is adapted for wheelchair access. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy the day to the fullest, regardless of any mobility issues. Our team will be on hand to assist you with any specific requirements you may have and ensure that you and your guests are comfortable throughout the event.
Can you help with planning decorations and entertainment for my wedding?
We have a list of trusted suppliers who can assist with wedding decorations and entertainment. These suppliers have worked with us to create unforgettable events for other couples and offer a variety of options for your room décor and entertainment.
How long will I have in the venue before my wedding for decorating and preparing it?
The time available for decorating and preparing the venue before your wedding may depend on whether there is a function scheduled before yours. However, we always ensure that you have plenty of time to dress your room, set up decorations, and make any necessary aesthetic arrangements. Our team is committed to providing a seamless experience so that you can fully enjoy your special day.
Can table centrepieces contain candles?
At The Warren, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our guests. While we understand the allure of real candles for wedding table centrepieces, they pose a fire hazard and are therefore not permitted at our Bromley wedding venue. However, we do allow electric or battery-operated candles as a safe and elegant alternative to enhance the ambiance of your reception
Can we use smoke machines in the venue?
Smoke machines are not permitted for use inside The Warren, to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests.
How much time is allocated for the wedding rehearsal?
We can book a time for you to rehearse your wedding, allowing you and your wedding party to become familiar with the venue, practice the ceremony proceedings, and address any questions or concerns. Our team will work with you to schedule an appropriate time for your rehearsal.
What food options does The Warren offer for weddings?
Our experienced, in-house chefs can create from a small buffet for intimate gatherings to a large wedding banqueting feast for more extensive celebrations, and we offer a wide range of wedding food and drink options to cater for different preferences, tastes and budgets.
The specific food options offered for weddings may vary depending on the season and current menus, but we always have on offer a range of options for different courses, including canapés, starters, main courses, desserts, and cheese boards.
Wherever possible fresh, locally-sourced ingredients are used and we can cater to different dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free if required.
Do you offer menu tastings? If so, are they free or is there a charge?
We offer a complimentary menu tasting for the couple getting married. We want you to have complete confidence in our culinary team and our delicious wedding breakfast menus, to ensure that you and your guests are happy with the choices.
Is there a minimum spend on food or beverages?
We do not require a minimum spend on food or beverages. We want you to feel at ease knowing that there are no hidden costs or minimum spending requirements to worry about. Our all inclusive wedding packages have been carefully designed to suit a range of budgets and tastes, and our team is always happy to work with you to create a bespoke package that meets your specific requirements.
Can I use my own caterers?
At The Warren, we provide all catering for events, and functions. We have an extensive menu that has been carefully crafted by our Head Chef to cater to a range of tastes and dietary requirements. If you have a specific dish or menu in mind, please speak to our team, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We pride ourselves on being flexible and working with our clients to ensure that their wedding day is everything they have dreamed of.
Do you provide a cash bar or an open bar?
The Warren offers both cash bar and open bar options. With the cash bar option, your guests will be able to purchase their drinks individually throughout the evening, and we will provide a variety of beverages and spirits for them to choose from. Alternatively, with the open bar option, guests will have unlimited access to a selection of drinks for a set period of time, which can be tailored to suit your specific requirements.
Do you charge for unopened bottles after the reception?
We charge only for bottles that have been opened and served to the tables during the wedding reception. We do not charge for unopened bottles that remain behind the bar at the end of the evening.
What time does the bar shut?
The bar shuts at midnight for the wedding after party, except on Sundays when it closes at 10:30 pm.
Can The Warren accommodate live music or DJs?
Yes, we have several rooms that are suitable for live music and DJs, depending on the size of your guest list and the type of music you would like to have. Our team can advise on which rooms would be best for your requirements.
Do you have your own sound equipment and speakers, or will those need to be provided by the entertainment?
We have our own sound equipment and speakers, which are available for use by your entertainment if required. However, many bands and DJs prefer to use their own equipment, and we are more than happy to accommodate this.
Could we plug an iPhone into your sound system?
Yes, you can plug an iPhone or other portable music device into our sound system.
Can we play music outside?
Yes, you can play music outside, subject to certain restrictions and provided that it does not create a noise nuisance for our neighbours. We want you to enjoy your wedding day to the fullest, however, we also have a responsibility to ensure that our neighbours are not unduly disturbed. Therefore, we ask that you limit the volume of any outdoor music and that you cease outdoor music by 10pm.
How late can the wedding party run until?
At The Warren, we ask for carriages at midnight, as this is the standard closing time for our venue. However, we understand that some couples may want to extend the celebration, and in some cases, we can apply for a licence extension from the council. A licence extension would allow the wedding party to run later than midnight, subject to certain conditions and restrictions. Our team will be happy to discuss the specifics of a licence extension with you, including the process for applying and any additional costs that may be involved. However, we must stress that a licence extension is not guaranteed, and it is subject to the approval of the council.
Is there a dance floor in the function room?
Our two main function rooms The Coney Suite and the Hobbit Suite are equipped with spacious dance floors, perfect for celebrating your wedding with your guests and loved ones, to dance the night away.
Is there a designated smoking area?
Smoking is not permitted inside the venue, however, there are designated smoking areas outside each function room where smoking is permitted. We ask that smokers please use the designated smoking areas only, to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event to the fullest.
Can we bring pets to our wedding?
We know that pets are an important part of many couples’ lives, and much-loved members of the family therefore you are welcome to bring your pet to the ceremony, however, we ask that they be taken home for the rest of the day, as we cannot accommodate pets during the reception.
Is there sufficient on-site parking to accommodat guests?
We have parking for up to 78 cars, including three disabled spaces.
Is accommodation available at The Warren for overnight stays? Or do you have any agreements for discounted rates at partner providers?
We do not have accommodation available at The Warren, however, there are many hotels and guest houses in the local area as well as Airbnb options that can provide accommodation for you and your guests. Our team will be happy to provide you with suggestions, along with any special rates or offers that they may be running for wedding parties.
When does everything need to be out of the venue?
We ask that everything is cleared out of the venue by 10 am the next day at the latest. However, the exact time may depend on your specific function arrangements or other venue hire bookings. Our team will inform you if there are any changes to this.
What does a typical day look like for a wedding function at The Warren?
Each wedding is unique, and we tailor each event to our couple’s requirements, so a typical day for a wedding function at The Warren will vary, but here is an example of how the day might unfold:
- Wedding party arrives early to begin getting ready
- Hair and makeup artists arrive to prepare the bride and bridal party
- Photographer and videographer arrive to capture getting-ready shots
- Guests begin arriving for the ceremony
- The ceremony takes place in one of the venue’s beautiful function rooms
- After the ceremony, guests can enjoy drinks and canapes while the wedding party has their photographs taken
- The wedding party is announced into the reception room, where the couple have their first dance
- The wedding breakfast is served, usually a three or four-course meal with drinks, accompanied by speeches and toasts

We start by offering wedding room hire, and from there, we work with you to build out a bespoke package that includes everything you need for a perfect wedding celebration.
Our services include from tablecloths and table setup to full catering, a Wedding Manager, bar and bar staff, helping hands to set up and take down, Civil ceremony registrar fees, waste removal and clean-up, public liability insurance, and more.
There are no minimum requirements, and we will work with you to create a package that suits your budget and preferences.
When do you require final numbers for catering and set up?
To ensure that we can provide the best possible service for your wedding, we would expect to have your final numbers for catering and set up about six weeks in advance of the event. We understand that there may be a few unexpected minor changes closer to the time, and we will do our best to accommodate any adjustments where possible.
